Blood Abilities (血式能力, Chishiki Nōryoku) are abilities unique to each Blood Maiden that allow her to perform various useful tasks while exploring the Jail. Each Blood Maiden's Blood Ability is some kind of reference to their fairy tale and is used throughout the game after the Blood Maiden joins the party.

Blood Maidens and their Abilities[]

Alice[]

As Alice does not appear early in Mary Skelter 2, her original Blood Ability was given to Nightmare Jack so the player could still utilize it throughout the game. She instead gets a second one and is the only Blood Maiden to have two different Blood Abilities.

Rabbit Hole[]

Rabbit Hole Places a marker at the current position. Examining the marker allows the player to save the game or return to the Liberated District/base camp. Cannot be placed if the current tile has a "gimmick."

Rabbit Jump[]

Allows the party to jump 5 spaces at once, bypassing rifts and pits. Acts functionally similar to Jack's Mary Reverser.

Red Riding Hood[]

Body Nipper[]

Body nipper Allows her to use her giant scissors to destroy various objects (screens, bamboo, power lines, etc.) immediately in front of her, helping open up new paths and solve puzzles.

Tiny Princess[]

Tiny Princess Allows her to shrink various items and return them to normal size. Some items work better shrunken, while consumables cannot return to regular size after being shrunk. Certain objects, such as the Nurse's Outfit, used to get significant bonuses when shrunk, but that was removed in the remake. Used mostly for keys in the second game.

Snow White[]

Poison Bomb[]

Poison Bomb Allows her to drop a bomb that explodes after a few seconds, affecting a certain number of tiles in range. Can be used to destroy walls and even hurt Nightmares on the map. If the party is standing too close (the tile next to it), the party will be hurt with a chance of poison. After being placed, it cannot be moved through.

Sleeping Beauty[]

Rose Arrows[]

Rose Arrow Shoots a thorn arrow forward 7 squares. It can hit faraway switches or even temporarily stun Nightmares. Any spaces the arrow flies over will be marked on the map, helping with wide rooms and certain Work Orders.

Kaguya[]

Bamboo Guard[]

Bamboo Guard Protects the party from all field hazards (excluding holes) for a limited time. Can even protect against Nightmare attacks on the map.

Cinderella[]

Twelve Dash[]

Twelve Dash Increase the player's speed in dungeons for 12 seconds. Lets you outrun certain traps and gimmicks. Running into walls or objects will damage the party's HP and stun for a few seconds. Activating right before or after auto-pilot helps avoid such issues. In Mary Skelter 2, this ability also increases mileage gained from bouncing off springs.

Gretel[]

Bread Portal[]

Bread Portal Allows her to create a warp point 3 squares in the direction you're facing. Use the ability once to toss the bread crumbs, and use it again to warp to where you tossed it. It is useful for locations you can't normally get to or returning to faraway locations. If it will hit a wall in three spaces, it'll shorten to two spaces.

Hair Flair[]

Hair Flair Allows her to reach forward 5 tiles with her hair to gather items, open chests, or flip switches. It gains added perks in Mary Skelter 2 with being able to remove spikes off doors and traveling over conveyor belts. If an item is grabbed or chest is opened, it'll count those tiles as traversed on the map.

Hameln[]

Iron Piccolo[]

Iron Piccolo Allows her to attract items and open chests within an area of 3x7 squares depending on where you are facing. This is primarily used for solving puzzles involving moving blocks and harvesting blood flowers for added bonuses.

Otsuu[]

Bamboo Weaver[]

Bamboo Weaver Finale Allows her to create an orb of bamboo on the space in front of her. This ability can be used to weigh down switches, fill in holes with a basket, or even roadblock Nightmares. In the event that an orb is mistakenly placed, it can be removed by examining it. Only three orbs can be placed on the map at once and they will disappear if the party leaves the map.

Frozen Tear[]

Frozen Tear Finale Allows her to fire a water/ice projectile seven tiles in front of her, similar to Sleeping Beauty. It can douse flames to get items or solve puzzles, cool down liquids, and freeze waterfalls. It will mark the spaces it traverses over, helping fill out the map.

Phantomize[]

Phantomize Turns Mary temporarily invisible, allowing her to bypass sensor traps. Also reduces encounter rate for Marchens and Nightmares.

Charlotte[]

Senri Eye[]

Senri Eye Lists the gimmicks of each area and hints on how to bypass them. Only works in areas a party has been before.
