Once, Clara was a petty thief, stealing whatever she could to survive in the Liberated District when her tinkering and repair skills couldn't pay for food. One day, Haru caught her trying to snatch from him, but in an act of mercy, he let her go loose rather than report her. After several more attempts to nick something off him, Haru eventually dragged Clara to Dawn HQ where he put her to work as his apprentice and handling requisitions

In this alternate story, Clara never joined Dawn. After being confirmed to not be a Blood Maiden, her thievery was egregious enough for her to be exiled from the Liberated District entirely. In her wanderings of the Jail, she was mentored in the ways of safely traversing the dungeons, finding and peddling items. It's implied that her mentor was the original Wandering Merchant of Nightmares.

Clara works for Dawn as Haru's assistant, as well as running and stocking the general store, where Jack and the Blood Maidens can stock up on field supplies.

Having learned the ways to navigate the Jail safely, Clara can be found in the dungeons as a wandering merchant. She'll discount her prices from time to time, and some of her wares can't be found in the New Liberated District, so it may be worth seeking her out.

Clara is one of the three blood youths in Finale, along with Jack and Toh. Clara is severely wounded by Gallows during the prologue, and Jack's blood is transfused to save her, with his blood making her into a blood youth. She receives her Mary Gun from Hikari, before she gets teleported to Licard Island, where she teams up with Pyre, Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel, Gretel, Hameln, Sukui, Kaede, Takumi, and Itsuki.

Even before becoming Haru's apprentice, Clara learned all sorts of ways to build and repair. They've only gotten better after she got an actual teacher to show her how it's done
Jail Traversal (MS2 only)[]
After being mentored in the ways, Clara learned how to travel between the various dungeons of the Jail while minimizing risk of running afoul of Marchens or Nightmares
Purifying Blood (Finale only)[]
Somehow, the life-saving blood transfusion from Jack in the prologue also imparted the properties of his blood to Clara's, meaning she too can purify Corruption. Like Jack, this blood does not grant Clara any additional powers or durability, and makes her unable to ever wield a Blood Weapon.

- In Finale, Clara's bag has a triangualr shape on its strap that covers the right eye of the cat on her shirt, resembling Haru's eyepatch.
