Little Mermaid is a member of the Blood Maidens and one of the playable characters in Mary Skelter 2.

History[]
Born as a Blood Maiden, Little Mermaid was capable of fighting Marchens. Trapped in the Jail, Little Mermaid was surrounded by the beasts. The bloodshed she bathed in combined with the stress of combat pushed her mind to the breaking point, triggering Blood Skelter Mode. Little Mermaid lost her sanity and began to rampage throughout the Jail but is later killed by a girl with a hood.
...Or that was the case, in one timeline. In the other story that is Mary Skelter 2, Little Mermaid never went into Blood Skelter. Surviving to relative adolescence, she works alongside Otsuu and Red Riding Hood as members of Dawn.
Relationships[]
- Otsuu: When Otsuu first met Little Mermaid, she proposed on the spot, asking to be her bride. Little Mermaid said she was not really the princely type, and asked Otsuu to be her prince instead.
- Jack: Jack was a pleasant acquaintance during their brief trip together. After he became a Nightmare, the two of them get along as mutual members of Otsuu's social circle. Jack is entranced by Little Mermaid's singing, and will immediately stop and listen or even dance along.
- Hameln: Little Mermaid and Hameln get along well despite their different approaches to many situations. In most cases, Little Mermaid will bring down Hameln's temper and stop any full force confrontations until absolutely necessary. In more casual environments, Little Mermaid is often entertained by Hameln's many antics but will intervene if they go too far.
- Gretel: Little Mermaid's kind and idealistic personality is often at odds with Gretel's more down-to-earth and logical demeanor. While neither outright dislike each other, they often disagree within the story and in certain events. However, Little Mermaid will still go out of her way to try to appease Gretel, including teaching her to bake sweets along with Hikari.
- Rapunzel: Little Mermaid seems to take a kind of motherly role when it comes to Rapunzel. She is very sweet and patient with her and tries to protect her from any dangers, including her fellow Blood Maidens, going so far as to scold Gretel for intimidating Rapunzel into giving her cookies.
Story[]
Mary Skelter 2[]
Prologue[]
Little Mermaid is dispatched along with Red Riding Hood and Otsuu to rescue prisoners from the City Streets. Of particular note among the escapees are Alice, a fellow Blood Maiden, and Jack, a boy who accompanies Alice. When Jack is injured by the City Streets Nightmare, Alice goes berserk, pushing back the Nightmare but also rampaging uncontrollably, smashing the floor and sending everyone tumbling into a hole.
When Little Mermaid awakens in the Underground Cavern, she finds Jack on the brink of death, injuries from Alice's rampage and the subsequent fall on top of his previous wounds overwhelming his body. Even near death, he stills thinks about Alice, much to her and an arriving Otsuu's surprise and admiration. Suddenly, blood-red vines sprout out and begin to engulf Jack's body. The two Blood Maidens cut and pull, with Little Mermaid calling out to Jack, but eventually the vines completely engulf him. Little Mermaid averts her eyes as Jack turns into a Nightmare, a grotesque titan where there was once a boy.
Chapter 1[]
As Nightmare Jack stands before the two, Little Mermaid tenses, fearing she may have to fight a former ally. Suddenly, Otsuu develops a short-lived headache, then attempts to communicate with Jack, who responds with drawling yet still comprehensible speech.

Main Story[]
Little Mermaid is never seen, only mentioned briefly by Red Riding Hood, when the latter confesses to killing the former after she entered Blood Skelter. Her body would then be brought to Dawn for study, allowing them to discover Blood Skelter to begin with.
After Story[]
After chasing it from the Underground Cavern, the group corners the Nightmare?, where it begs for mercy. Jack allows it to speak, and it asks about the whereabouts of Little Mermaid. No one in the group recognizes the name except for Red Riding Hood, who explains that she had killed Little Mermaid when the young girl entered Blood Skelter and feels immense remorse for doing so. While the others recognize she had no other choice, the Nightmare? becomes distraught and runs away, leaving behind a microphone. While the group is content to let it run away at first, Jack listens to the recording of Little Mermaid singing from the Mary Skelter 2 timeline and regains his memories and realizes that the Nightmare? is Otsuu and that she will attempt to resurrect Little Mermaid in a different timeline again. Once Jack gets Otsuu to remember who he is after a fight, he explains that there may be another way to bring her back to life in another way, citing Mamoru, Hikari, Itsuki, Kaede, and Takumi's resurrection via a Jail Core. While she is at first surprised that they had died in the first place, she agrees, and the group and Otsuu make their way to the Dawn to find her body.
Little Mermaid's Coffin
While they are making their way back to the Dawn, Jack and Otsuu attempt to explain the separate timelines to the group to little avail (Gretel is the only one who claims to actually understand). Once they reach the graveyard, Red Riding Hood explains that the Dawn would've kept her body intact as to research Blood Skelter, but doesn't know what she may look like now. Fearing that her body would have already rotted, Jack opens the coffin. Inside, they find Little Mermaid's body, perfectly intact as if she had died yesterday. Jack and Otsuu connected the incidents with the previous Cinderella and the perfectly intact Little Mermaid, and conclude that Blood Skelter doesn't just stop aging, but causes the person to remain in whatever state they were in when they entered Blood Skelter indefinitely, even through death. Relieved, Otsuu carries Little Mermaid's body as they make their way to the top of the Metropolitan Office.
Little Mermaid and Otsuu Returns
After the group defeats the Metropolitan Nightmare, they finally arrive at the Witchcraft Core. Otsuu fears that just the body and the microphone won't be enough to bring back the Little Mermaid she knew and offers to go into the core with the body. Jack tries to stop her, but the rest of the group tell him to let her do as she wishes. With Little Mermaid's body and microphone in hand, she enters the Core. Soon after, the group see a humanoid Otsuu holding an older Little Mermaid. With the resurrection being a success, the two go back to the Dawn. They talk with Mamoru, Hikari, Itsuki, Kaede, and Takumi again, noting how it feels like talking to old friends and joke about how similar this Hameln is to the one they knew before going with Hikari to the surface.

After the attack from Massacre Pink, Little Mermaid heads towards the Jail with Jack, Otsuu, Miko, Mamoru, Hikari, and Michiru.
Love Prison Tower Mary Skelter: True End[]
Whilst farming together, Mamoru suddenly proposes to Hikari as he couldn't bear another day without her by his side. Hikari is shocked since they weren't dating though ends up accepting anyway. Mamoru then sets up the wedding immediately and asks Jack to officiate. As he had had no time to invite anyone with such little notice, he only ends up inviting [[Kaede[[, Itsuki, and Takumi. Kaede ran into Otsuu, Little Mermaid, and Hameln on the way, and brings them with her. Kaede and Itsuki revealed they too had gotten engaged, and decide to turn it into a double wedding.
Some time later, Little Mermaid and Otsuu get married in a church.
Many years later, Otsuu makes a wedding dress and tuxedo for Jack and his girlfriend. After Jack calls his girlfriend to the church, she and Little Mermaid blindfold her, and then leave the confused girl there as Jack arrives. Jack and his girlfriend then get married.

- Frozen Tears: Allows her to fire a water/ice projectile seven tiles in front of her, similar to Sleeping Beauty. It can douse flames to get items or solve puzzles, cool down liquids, and freeze waterfalls. It will mark the spaces it traverses over, helping fill out the map.

- Little Mermaid's name is based on the fairy tale written by Danish author Hans Christian Andersen, The Little Mermaid.
- Little Mermaid's Death End Attire is based on Shina Ninomiya, the female protagonist of Death end re;Quest, as she appears in World's Odyssey.
- Despite wielding a trident in her Therapist/official art, she can't wield any spear weapons as a Therapist. The only class that she has access to that can wield a spear (excluding DLC classes) is the Blood Witch, but its art has her wielding a wand.
- Little Mermaid only sings in the Japanese dub of the game. In the English dub, it is simply text, likely due to budgetary reasons. Note: She does sing in the English version of Mary Skelter: Finale.

- While the player can give gifts to Otsuu and Little Mermaid after they have achieved the altered true ending, they will react negatively to all gifts; however, as they don't have an affection meter like the other Blood Maidens, this has no effect on events/character performance.
