Massacre Mode (Japanese: ジェノサイドモード, Jenosaidomōdo) is a gameplay mechanic featured in the Mary Skelter series.

In game, Massacre Mode is accessed by gaining sufficient Blood splatter on a Blood Maiden. Blood is accumulated by hitting an enemy's weakness or Overkilling them. When a Blood Maiden has a full Blood meter, they will enter Massacre Mode, which grants them access to Massacre Skills, and a temporary increase in stats.
Massacre Skills are special Skills that usually don't require SP to use, and generally have some sort of special effect such as inflicting debuffs onto an enemy.
Blood Maidens may also recover HP and SP through Massacre Mode.
If a Blood Maiden's Blood meter is full, but they have high Corruption, they may enter Blood Skelter instead.
Lore[]
Ordinarily, when a Blood Maiden is exposed to Marchen blood, their eyes will turn pink. When they are exposed to an especially large amount of it, they will enter Massacre Mode, which turns their hair white and makes certain features appear on their body.
While in Massacre Mode, a Blood Maiden's combat ability is dramatically increased, and they tend to act more aggressive than normal. Given enough time, a Blood Maiden will exit Massacre Mode on their own.
Despite their aggressiveness, Blood Maidens largely retain their reason while in Massacre Mode.
Massacre Pink are known for making use of Massacre Mode, as their Gore Suits allow them to remain in Massacre Mode permanently.
