Surprise Items

Surprise Items are items that can be given to the Blood Maidens to raise their affections in order to unlock events and Massacre Skills. They can be obtained by buying them from the traveling merchant/Clara, Work Orders/Commissions, Marchens, and the general store.

Each Blood Maiden has a preference in terms of gifts and interior items. In Mary Skelter: Nightmares, the player has to guess as to which gifts the girls will like. In Mary Skelter 2, only the gifts that each of the girls will like will appear in the menu, and they have no preference in terms of furniture.

The interior items will change the appearance of the Blood Maiden's room to match the theme of the item. There is no way to change the appearance of Otsuu or Jack's rooms.

Gifts

Characters will either love, like, dislike, or hate an item, with affection increasing or decreasing accordingly. Most items are liked; thus, any character not mentioned likes that item.

Interior Items

Characters enjoy every interior item in a set. For example, Gretel loves the Monotone Set, which includes the Monotone Bed, Monotone Desk, Monotone Wallpaper, and Monotone Dresser.
