The Witchcraft Core, otherwise simply known as the Witchcraft is a special type of Jail Core. A Witchcraft Core is generated when a Jail Tower reaches full maturity and inseminates the Jail's Moon.
The Witchcraft Core possesses great power beyond that of even the Jail itself. The Witchcraft is able to grant its user any desire they wish, which can even create entirely new worlds depending on the wish its user makes.

The Witchcraft is originally introduced in Mary Skelter 2. Inside the dreams Jack and Otsuu share that take place in between Chapters of the game, Otsuu as a Nightmare mentions using the Witchcraft, though it is not initially revealed what the Witchcraft is or why she is using it.
During the True Ending of the game, Otsuu reveals to Little Mermaid that in the Mary Skelter: Nightmares timeline, she used Witchcraft to bring her back to life, and create an entirely new world where the two could be together. Little Mermaid convinces Otsuu to revert the world to the Mary Skelter: Nightmares timeline, and the game ends with a scene of Red Riding Hood killing Little Mermaid in self defense, after Little Mermaid enters Blood Skelter after being rescued from Marchens.

The Witchcraft is not mentioned or alluded to in any capacity throughout the base story. In the remake of Mary Skelter: Nightmares included with Mary Skelter 2, there are 2 dungeons added to the game as postgame content, being the Underground Cavern and Metropolitan Office.
Jack and his party encounter Otsuu as a Nightmare inside the Metropolitan Office, after helping Otsuu to regain her memories of Mary Skelter 2, they come up with the plan to use the Jail's Core to resurrect Little Mermaid, who had been killed almost 10 years prior.
After retrieving Little Mermaid's body from a grave near the Dawn's Headquarters, Jack and his party, followed by Nightmare Otsuu, return to the Metropolitan Office as they make their way to the Jail's Core. After the Core is destroyed by the Area's Nightmare, the group decide to instead use the Witchcraft, just as Otsuu had done previously. After defeating the Metropolitan Nightmare, the group make their way to the top of the Jail Tower. Otsuu decides she will sacrifice herself to the Witchcraft in order to resurrect Little Mermaid. Otsuu takes Little Mermaid's body and offers herself to the Witchcraft, which not only resurrects Little Mermaid as an adult, but also turns Otsuu into a Blood Maiden.

It is said that the Witchcraft is the reason why war had broken out on the surface, and caused Massacre Pink to take control over the surface.
The Devouring Armada Tower acts as the surface's Jail Tower, and is capable of producing a Witchcraft Core by allowing it to approach the Earth's Moon.
Despite the understanding that the Devouring Armada Tower can produce a Witchcraft Core, Yuto Gato seems disinterested in utilizing it for his means.
Upon the revelation that Yuto Gato is Massacre Pink's Master, Yuto Gato reveals his intentions, and states that in the past, Mary has utilized the Witchcraft numerous times to reset the timeline of the world following Alice's death and the loss of Charlotte's sanity. After defeating Yuto Gato at the top of the Devouring Armada Tower, Jack uses the Witchcraft himself, though he opts to wish for "nothing", believing that the events that took place were not as a result of a single person's wish. Jack's "wish" results in the Devouring Armada Tower, and all of the Jails being completely removed from existence, and the surface restored. Jack, alongside the Blood Maidens, Jabberwock, and Haru, are all turned into ordinary humans, though everyone retains their memories of the events leading up to that point. The Blood Maidens and Jack all no longer possess their old powers or abilities, and begin living as normally as they are able to.
